The "Unearthed" Project
Welcome to the Unearthed Project! I finally got my hands on the E.S. Posthumus CD “Unearthed“. You may have heard some of the wonderful songs like Pompeii, Nara, and Tikal around a-m-v.org. I have mixed segments from each of the tracks on the CD and now I would like to put this mix to video, but I need your talents to make this video as great as the songs this mix is paying tribute to.
The Rules and Regulations
1. Make sure you have the anime(s) you want to use in your possession BEFORE you sign-up. I’ve seen quite a few projects delayed because people either had their anime on loan to someone, waiting for someone to loan them the anime, or waiting for the anime they ordered to be delivered.
2. There should be different anime(s) for each track. For example I don’t want to see 10 tracks of Kenshin. Though there are a few exceptions, the anime I chose to do on the first track do not count, also I will allow repeated anime if they are mixed with another anime that has not been chosen, or the person who chooses Track 12 may chose whatever anime they want.
3. Anime only, no live action or American cartoon footage. Also no video game footage, with the exception of Track 12 due to it’s length and pace is hard to make a video out of so the person who chooses this track may have access to whatever means they want.
4. No hentai, though everything else is acceptable. Brief nudity is alright but no sex. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule.

Track 5 - Tikal Finale
Track 6 - Harrapa

Track 13 - Pompeii
Track 14 - Pompeii Finale
Track 15 - Isfahan - End Credits (I will take care of these)
*NOTE* The extra seconds at the end and beginning of each track is for the transition between each track. Each track is approx. 1 minute, with the exception of Track 5 and Track 14 which are the dramatic final bits of Tikal and Pompeii. Also, Track 12 is extended, mainly because that’s how the timiung worked, I could not shorten the track without ruining the flow of the music. However, the person who chooses this track may use any Anime they want, even if it has already been picked and even if it is game footage like Final Fantasy.
Video Preparation
-Frame size = 720x480
-4:3 aspect ratio only, if your footage is 16:9, add black borders or crop it to 4:3.
-Frame rate = 29.97
-Use as many anime as you want.
-When exporting export your "Work Area" only.
-Final submission must be exported in huffyuv(yuy 2, not rgb) and sent to me (Vega Sailor) via AIM.
DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 1, 2005 (But please don't wait till the last minute.)
To let me know what track you want just post in this thread, BUT give me your 3 choices for a track in order of interest. Also post the Anime you wish to use, it’s all a first come first serve basis.
If you have anyquestions, feel free to contact me. ^_^
UPDATE: To reduce confusion for the timing, I'm going to post .wav versions the segments on the project website for download.

Oh thank you all for joining! I'm so excited!
Yes, the timings I posted may seem off, but the written version has seconds tacked on to each time so I can have plenty of leadway when it comes time to edit the whole project together.
Yes, the track does cut off, I as sample of what the credits are are going to sound like, it will have a lot smoother end when I actually put the credits together. Though if it is that disruptive I can change it.

jethropr, I wish to apologise, you were right some of the times on a few of the tracks were off.
But I have gone back and corrected them. Yes, please use the times for creating the workspace (now that they are correct), I want to be able to make smooth transitions between the anime to I want a few extra seconds of footage.
