Linkin Park - Taboo for AMV?

Okay, we all know the lukewarm threat of LinkinBall Z too AMVs. It is lukewarm right? But would doing an AMV do Linkin Park, while using… say X/1999 as the medium be all that bad? Especially if it was tastefully done? Times sure are changing. (Okay, I’m not that much of an old timer.) But has Linkin Park become taboo altogether, or just LinkinBall Z. I happen to like Linkin Park(Sometimes). Eh

It's not taboo entirely yet, but be prepared to back up your decision. For example, two people (Anneke and, um..., someone else) both made AMVs with Linkin Park and the Kenshin OVAs a couple of months ago. But be prepared for wary viewers.

I hear you there. I even believe not everything with DBZ is bad. Maybe its the Quantity of bad AMV's over the Quality ones. Or I could just be listing to the damn Linkin Park CD in reverse...

perhaps its the linkin park dbz combo used too often that makes people negative towards the use of linkin park to other anime. but i for one like linkin park still and i wouldn't mind seeing their songs put to other animes.

Know that the interest in your video will be low with use of LP.

I don't mind them, some of their songs are really good, I actually have future plans with one of their tracks.

Was gonna make a video of X/1999 to Linkin Park's "In The End" before it was overused. Made a promo poster for it and everything, can still be found on my site. Scrapped the project though since I was sick of Linkin Park AMVs, I'd be a hypocrit if I made one

I'm going to make it(Actually a trilogy of X/LP AMVs). I just wanted to test the waters here. I'll put into private distribution among my friends and their friends first before I ever put it online though. I wonder which band will fall next into the hole of bad music(Or Good for DBZ) for AMVs.
