Wicked City

Who else here has seen this? I didn't think it sucked, I just thought it was kinda strange. But it was interesting in a way. In particular, I DID NOT like the rape scenes involving Makie. Other than that, it was interesting.....

I saw once a few years ago, and I liked it. It was better than Goku Midnight Eye, and at the time I thought it was more interesting than Vampire Hunter D

That was actually the first anime I ever seen that I knew was anime in all it's blurry goodness. It was on regular tv so they didn't show everything. Back then in good old 7th grade I was amazed at the movie quality of it. I never would have expected animation to be so real. It wasn't all happy like disney and it wasn't just cooky like Ren and Stimpy. It brought a human element to it and also a message of coming together despite different races. As far as those little rated R scenes I was kind of shocked that something like that could be portrayed in animation. That spider lady had to go though. I hate spiders and I hate hos. (Of course now nothing really surprizes me as far as shock value in animation.) I just bought it recently and I can appreciate stuff and understand it at a different level now. (I had no clue what that thing was on that lady that was pulsating until I got older. Man I was a dumb chick. ) It's a good movie. I wouldn't show it to the kiddys but it's worth the time at least seeing it once.

I think you pretty much hit the nail with your description. Minus the rape stuff it was fairly cool.

Super Natural B city was one we imported from Japan on Laserdisc long ago. Definately a weird movie!

Yeah, it was pretty good but DEMON CITY SHINJUKU was way better.
