I found the latest episode rather disappointing myself, it needed more sexual harassment of mikuru.

I love what Kyon does during the card game to try and make Itsuki pick the Joker.
And, unsurprisingly, they leave you on a cliffhanger.
Anyways, I don't know if anyone else has seen this, but this page has photos of the real-life areas featured in the episodes. Also, this one (some may be duplicates).

I think another aspect that is making me love this show is the attention to detail... with such a story telling format, I think you would need to be detailed with your settings and charecterisation and mannerisms, not just to let the viewer be the "detective" and piece the story together, but also to perhaps throw you off and that surprises is the key to this show being successful. It's a format that, I believe, ultimately stops you from saying "I saw that coming a mile away," even if you would have done so had the story not be told in such a random way.

aparantly (as I read on some Haruhi fansite somewhere) the episode numbers that Haruhi gives us corelates to the actuall points that it happened in the manga, while Kyons episode numbers are the actuall anime episodes after Haruhi rearranges them. so yea if you rearanged all the episodes in order Haruihi has them numbered as, after the series is done, it should all make sense as a continuing story.madbunny wrote:As soon as this crazy series is done, someone is going to have to figure out what order the episodes are actually numbered in and see if it makes any more sense that way.
I liked the moment when Haruhi decided that the loser had to buy drinks and everyone automatically assumed it would be Kyon.

Where's the fun in that?Bakadeshi wrote:aparantly (as I read on some Haruhi fansite somewhere) the episode numbers that Haruhi gives us corelates to the actuall points that it happened in the manga, while Kyons episode numbers are the actuall anime episodes after Haruhi rearranges them. so yea if you rearanged all the episodes in order Haruihi has them numbered as, after the series is done, it should all make sense as a continuing story.
But yeah: Haruhi's episode numbers = chronological order, Kyon's episode numbers = broadcast/production order.
Although the novels that the anime are based on DO jump around chronologically also. So don't think that this is an anime specific trait.

Damn! Look at all the new avy's, banners, and sigs around this site "Infinity Squared's with the most riot". Saw the popularity in sub downloads on the net and ended up at this forum. Had to watch it.
I'm on episode 5 and I'm really loving it. The story is so weird and I have no clue where it's going. I like how it kinda slowed down just a tad on the funny-ness and got more serious. Can't wait to see how this show ends.

After much thinking, I've finally updated my A-M-V.org profile (the little music note one below) with a SHnY image of Kyon replacing good old Kenshin.
Also, I've watched episode 7 and even with my limited understanding of Japanese, it was funny as heck. My favorite part

Spoiler for Episode 7 wrote:is how the computer club president's room has a poster of the 3 seiyuus that voice Haruhi, Mikuru, and Yuki on his wall. I had seen a picture of the 3 actresses in school uniforms on a photo shoot and wondered, "what are these pictures going to be used for?" Now I know.
