Re: Life without anime - challenge to anime addicts
I was in the military. Try 6 months underway with 100 hrs of work a week and no time for even just the tiniest leisures.snouman88 wrote:Are you an anime addict? Have you ever tried to live few weeks without watching anime?
Well I am a huge anime addict and I tried to live few weeks without watching anime at all. The few first days were ok. After a week I found it wery temptating to watch an anime episode. Somehow I managed to keep my fingers out of keyboard by doing something else. But as the time passed I got a grater desire to watch anime. Finally after 2 weeks I was free to do whatever I wanted - to watch anime.
If you are an anime addict, I challenge you to live few weeks witout anime. You will have much more freetime and you can do "different" things. Tell about your experiences

Dude, this post sounds like we're all drug addicts. DONT HOLD OUT ON ME MAN I NEED MY FIX!! I'LL SHANK YOU, I WILL!!!1
But seriously, the longest I've gone without anime was one year, during summer vacation. The reason: I had no TV, cable, or satellite. Hell, there wasn't even any anime movies that summer. I cried myself to sleep every night..... and thats how my soul died. It was torture during those three months, especially with no normal TV channels to watch. Yep, it was during September we got a satellite dish. Thats when I got my non-life back. Yep, life's been good ever since.

The longest I have goon without anime was about 6 months. The reason was WOW. Now when I have stoped (momentarily) I watch like 3-6 ep's a day. Sometimes more sometimes less.
I would not call myself an addict cause I sometimes have to hit myself to watch anime. Im just to lazy But when I get started I can watch for a long time.
I'm not so smart. I just stay with the problem a little longer ---- Einstein

That's one hell of a challenge...
That's like asking someone who breathes oxygen to breath Ozone instead.
It's richer, but it'll kill ya eventually...
LOL
Sure I can have more time to do other things.
Like oggling real life ladies, watching real porn instead of hentai with the wife, drawing, more gaming, more working to make $$$ to retire at age 35...
But the problem is, when you don't have the resources THAT MOMENT to do those things [aka unavailability], ANIME is nearly unbeatable to pass the time...
