Footage - anime about military war or (civil)riots

Post by Peterka » Sun May 21, 2006 2:53 am

As the topic suggest I'm looking for anime of that kind
I know : SaiKano, Now and here, Beyond t Clouds, Jin Roh
eh and by military I meant rather modern which means no older than industrialisation period

but if anime concentrates on war like Berserk post it also

Lets see.

You have Mobile Suit Gundam. I would specifically use Char's Counter Attack or 0083.

Robotech is always a good choice. The animation may not be the best but if you want massive war, that is the one to choose.

Ghost in the Shell, 2nd gig is falling under that category at the moment.

you're going to have a fun time finding stuff set before the industrial revelution...but I think Sakura Wars (tv) uses steam-powered mecha
(I might be thinking about steam detectives)

heh thanks
now , I would like to concentrate on fights that seem realistic in some way
which means no mechs, no eccentricities like Last Exile. Can be anti-war.

Infantry firefights or entrenchment scenes would be great

I would go with steamboy. It has some interesting things but nothing to wild.
