What KIND of videos do you find yourself making the most?

Post by Cornwiggle » Thu Jun 08, 2006 10:29 am

I'm sure that everyone here who makes vids notices that they tend to make a certain type of vid more than others. What do you make the most.

I've looked over mine and I've seen I do either

1. Serious, drama type vids.
2. Profile vids (mostly to minor characters)
3. Comedy or parody vids

Out of those, I would say the character profiles and the serious vids are the top, there are even some serious drama character profile vids. I would say I enjoy doing those the most.

Types of vids I would never want to do: Romance.

What about you?

No I didn't, because I was talking to editors, meaning people who have made AMVs.

So because a person has edited something other than/or in addition to AMV's..they're not really an editor...

Why do all of you people have to bring out all this hidden meaning?

No, you can make anything and be an editor, but since this place....here, where we are at is for ANIME music videos, I thought people would assume that's what I meant. And really, that's what the discussion was, for editors HERE, meaning they use anime, to talk about it.

Ok?

What the hell does it matter what the source of the footage is here in THIS thread? It's a thread asking what genre most of what you make lands in.

The type of AMV's I make are: (from most to least made:)

1. Dramatic/Serious
2. Action
3. Romance/Sentimental

Personally I have notice that I tend to do more dramatic videos, for I feel like having more of a meaning behind my amv's. These amv's come more naturally to me for when I listen to the lyrics I get these ideas of great stories. Most of my drama videos are slower amv's. However recently since 2005 I've been making more Action AMV's. I'm finding that I enjoy making action music videos. ("Pain of War", "Back to Paradise", "Sending Freedom" (soon to be released) and "Hunters or the Hunted") So 4 out of the 5 I've worked on have been action. However I do plan to go back to working on my Romance/Comedy amv and then some more dramas. I like to diverse the amvs I work on but I do notice that I do go on a trend where I get into a mood of making a certain type of amv.

lol yeah.. amv or non amv, an editor is still an editor whether we're talking about it here in the Org, or elsewhere..
that's like saying if we're on land, we say water is water, and land is land.. and if we're in water.. water is land, and land is water..(bad analogy, but hopefully the point got across)

but for me.. I like working on action and drama vids.. wish I could do comedy, but I lack creativity on that
