Bad Religion!

Post by RamonesFan2020204 » Wed Jun 14, 2006 5:07 pm

I've known about these guys since at least 2000. I bought their CD "Stranger Than Fiction" the day before yesterday, and I'm listening to it right now. Sounds like a damn good album! The only other release of theirs I have is "No Control", which I bought back in 2001. Next CD of theirs I plan to get is "Recipe For Hate". I'm not sure how many punk bands Atlantic Records has had in their family, but whatever number of punk groups they've had, this is one of the best they had (even though they aren't signed to them anymore).

We fear that pop-culture is the only culture we're ever going to have.We want to stop reading magazines. Stop watching T.V. Stop caring about Hollywood. But we're addicted to the things we hate

I didn't care for Recipe for Hate too much. I'd recommend Against the Grain, Generator, and All Ages. I'm not really a fan of much released after All Ages. It sounds like a completely different band, and it had something to do with one of the members leaving for a while. Their newest album, The Empire Strikes First, is getting back to being good from the garbage that was The New America, but I wouldn't reccomend it.

Ok First of all, the bad was only on atlantic records for i think three albums because the indie record label they invented to distribute themselves back in 80-85 Epitaph (which is now one of the biggest indie labels around) was causing too much work for one of the main guitarists and runner of epitaph, Brett G. this increased workload can most likely be attributed to The offsprings Incredible Smash Album. I didn't like their music on the Atlantic label as much as their other albums but i still found them good. But Bad Religion ditched Atlantic and went back to their Epitaph roots writing and producing songs with Brett again with the phenominal Album Process of Belief. great great album from start to finish.

Recipie for hate was my first Bad religion album and so it is still one of my favoites by them.

and thank Dr. Greg Graffin for still being an awsome punk rocker at 42 years old and prooving to the world punk rock can me intelligent social commentary and not mindless anger.

punk rock was never mindless anger. the world is just too mindless and angry to care about the true deeper meaning to that driving force called punk....

thinks back to Graffin's punk manifesto... he saus it better than me!
