Ripping problem- Placebo's 'Meds'.

Post by Arcane Azmadi » Tue Jun 20, 2006 9:10 pm

Placebo's new album 'Meds' is pretty damn good and I got a good AMV idea from one of the songs (track 8, 'Blind' if you're interested). Unfortunately the copy protection is virtually ironclad- there's an auto-ripper built into the CD but it only rips .wma files which can't be used (practically no program on my machine even acknowledges their existence). You CAN rip .mp3 and .wav files, but they come out corrupt. Does anyone have a solution?

By the way, I do realize that this is trying to go against the whole reason they have copy protection in the first place, but I need that song- it'll be a great AMV if I can get it.

Exactly what programs have you used thus far? CDex works very well, and I always recomend it. EAC works well too from what I've heard, and is very similar to CDex. So take your pick, hope one works. Good luck.

Download the album of bit torrent. If you've bought the cd legally, downloading the tracks shouldn't be an issue.

Do you know any torrent that got the album or at least some tracks in uncompressed .wav format?
