DVD2AVI tips please

I was wondering if anyone uses this program to do a little pre-clean up work before loading the program into VirtualDub. If so, could you give some examples or the link to a couple of sites that can help aid in using this program a little more efficiently.

I recommend using DGIndex (DGMPGDec) instead since it has essentially made DVD2AVI obsolete. http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=87809

And the amount of clean up that DGMPGDec/DVD2AVI does is, IMO minimal compared to what you can do with AviSynth filters.
