oh and sorry for the big file size. i tried to compress it smaller but the quality turns out to be quite bad. anyway i only saw one Hoshi no Koe amv.

I noticed that the video description, under Downloads in the Codec section it says DX50/PCM. I haven't downloaded it because it says to me that you didn't compress the audio. So the video is about 40 to 50 MB of audio data and the rest video data.

If you need help in compressing audio to MP3 and muxing it together with the video, click here: Compressing your audio. You can get the filesize down to about 50MB at the same video quality now, maybe smaller.

I'll DL this later after I finish this DVD I'm working on now.

Overall it was a good, drama-based video. I left you an opinion with more detailed comments. Keep up the good work!

Good effort, but there a quite a few things that could use some work on.

Bad:
The video quality is, bluntly, crap. I assume the footage wasn't from the DVDs (since I see some hard titles on a few scenes, 1:22 for example), or you did something horrible to the video. The video has horrible blocking artifacts and I know the DVDs look miles better than this.

I found a subtitle at 2:40. Didn't notice it until the second viewing. Confirms the non-DVD source.

I see orphan frames. I took a look at the video in VirtualDubMod to pinpoint the frames. #2699 at 1:30 is a blended orphan frame. #4563 at 2:32 I assume is an orphan frame. I'm not sure if you meant for this to be there, but the frames from 6794 to 6798 seem accidental

What I didn't care for:
The transition at 2:36 and 3:03 could be considered cheesy.

The on-screen text. It can be made to work, but I'd prefer that the video didn't have it.

The repeated footage. Admittedly, Voices of a Distant Star (Hoshi no Koe) is relatively short, but the repeated scenes should be used to reinforce a theme or lyric and used sparingly, IMO. It felt like you repeated footage to fill space after a while.

Which leads me to the parts that I describe as "jerky footage" (1:03, 1:54 and others). I assume you did this to extend the length of a clip to work around a software limitation (or to get rid of subs?) since I see it more than once, but it looks unusual.

The good:
I did like the feel of the video. And the anime and song combo does work well.

oh my god that was detailed!
-i didn't notice the orphen frame.(must be too blind maybe i should check frame by frame)
- yes its not from the DVD footage. i had the DVD file but i didn't know how to convert it to avi until later.
- didn't really meant the to put "The transition at 2:36 and 3:03", was kinda juz experimenting. seems like it didn't turn out too well =x
- as for jerky footage, umm you're right it is to cut our subs. but some were intentional such as 1:01 1:03 1:33 1:56 but i guess it wasn't skillfully done.

anyway, thank you for your honest opinion =)
in the meantime i think should go try compressing the audio.
