AND, don't forget Oji from Black Heaven. Sure, he can't swing swords or shoot stuff, but anyone that can play a mean guitar is also a true bad-ass!!!!

I mentioned a few female bad-asses earlier. I'll just copy what I mentioned:

Lina Inverse is pretty scary with her magic and all!

Misaki Matsuya from Excel Saga is definetly one bad ass girl! She impales a little cute PuuChu with a huge sharp mace!! *SMACK* "Ahhh.. that shattered some bone!"

I'd also like to add:

Kei from Dirty Pair Flash! Need I say more?

I've heard that Chi Chi from DBZ can go medivial on Goku's ass often.... but I don't watch it so I don't know.

It's been a while since I've watched Sailor Moon, but wasn't Sailor Jupiter a bit of a bad ass? Or Salior Mars maybe too?

Aren't most of the Hentai girls (that aren't the innocent naive ones that get raped) usually bad asses in a way?

I know there's alot more... but I can't think of any right now....
