Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

The RoS4 intro will be a Nokia commercial.

Indeed, I vote to say that the next project should be #5, thus creating an atmosphere of mystery in the future when noobs ask and wondered abou tthis elusive RoS4 that can't seem to be found anywhere, and no one speaks of it. It's genious!!!

But will it properly combine the functionality of RoS 2 and RoS 3?

Ok, the direct link has been changed!

the video is no longer being hosted on planetbrad, but now is making use of the RDS bandwidth. So feel free to grab the h264 again

COLOURS

Post by taeli » Tue Oct 24, 2006 2:51 pm

Oh dear fucking lord on a stick.

Kinda fallen out of the AMV scene, but I do check every few months or so to see if any of my fave editors have got a new vid, or if they've got any new faves.

Anyway, saw RoS3 and downloaded the h.264 version immediately.

I was absolutely stunned. Don't know how you guys managed to top 1&2, but for me it seemed to make them look average. Maybe because I'm a post rock bitch, and was wet before the first note of Seaglopur had even finished. But the intro itself was simply delightful. The music throught was simply stunning, and the M83 remix is downloading in the background. Really quite beautiful.

As for the video - I never considered that anything could touch the visual splendour of The Wasteland. You live and learn, huh? Throughout it was gorgeous. The quality was unreal (props to the encoder). A highlight for me was the brightness and colour used throughout the first two tracks, ending with Lockstock's wonderful section. And Suberunker + Nostromo's sections. Dammit I've suddenly got a lot of AMVs to go download!

Yeah, so total props on the finest AMV to date. It was rather splendid.

*is off to go download metro's back catolgue*
