why are you posting the same thing on every topic? We all know that 4Kids has destroyed One Piece, as it has with everything else it licensed, and the quality of the anime isn't what we're discussing in this thread. Nami's breasts weren't made bigger by 4Kids, that's the reverse of their modus operandi.

So her breasts get bigger...this is not weird, it's not even not weird IRL (see Pam Anderson comment). It's like, some of you can't decide whether to upset or not about this occurring because you're just so excited it's happening.

Wow, look at all the typos.

Maybe the idea behind the inflating chest is that viewers who've kept up with the series are aging and need to be kept interested in the show, so the fanservice factor is getting ramped up. It's not that unusual a tactic more fanservice theoretically means more viewers.

I just posted because I thought it was ammusing. The fanservice factor is the most obvious answer, but how does the plot justify such a sudden change?

The plot doesn't have to even mention Nami's increased, er... bounty. It's like the soap operas: one week it's one actor/actress, the next week it's an all new one. No need for a story arc to 'kill off' the character, then have him/her reappear later after a near death experience and 'plastic surgery' to exact revenge.

Fanservice isn't usually the M.O. of a shonen jump series though... is it? I guess they all tend to have a mild amount of it in there, but even given the laxer standards of programming geared towards children in Japan, it's never really a focal point...
