Well, let's see we can put this into consideration. The audio clips are only audition clips so obviously the voices aren't as polished until the real production goes into play. Nonetheless, this is a lot tougher to choose from, and looks like I have to listen to them a couple times over before I choose one.

One thing for sure is that #2 is out; I didn't really like that one.

Interesting... all the guys do a decent job of Itsuki, but as someone else mentioned on another forum, there is something missing. A certain "I enjoy being in the SOS Brigade" attitude and the feeling that he knows a lot of things and is willing to go into a long monologue to explain it all to us, I suppose. Or maybe that it seems to me that Daisuke Ono is performing Itsuki's lines with a permanent smile?

Itsuki number 1 has the right tone (probably Johnny Yong Bosch), but stumbles on pronouncing "Haruhi". Numbers 2 thru 4 all have good and bad things about their performances, but I'd rank them in the order in which they were presented (it's nearly a tie). Number 5 is probably Crispin Freeman and doesn't quite sound right tonally, but I like his delivery. This is gonna be tougher than I thought. Plus, we will likely be hearing most if not all these voices again for Kyon.

For some reason I can't see Johnny or Crispin as Itsuki, (even though they currently have the majority of all of the votes). I can see Johnny as Kyon, but definitely not Itsuki.

I'm leaning towars #3.

geh, none of them sounds like itsuki, they all don't match his image. They are lacking that somwhat cocky know it all yet always smiling atitude that gets on Kyon's nerves.

haha thinking of the voice actor for kyon made me think of that sarcastic cat in Kiki's delivery service

someone with a natural sarcasm like that voice actor, and sense of humor should play his part I think.

They seem to be a little... acted-sounding, I think. I'm split between #1 and #3, though I agree with Bakadeshi - some of that calm cockiness is missing.

With Yuki, they just aren't flat enough dammit. Come on! Yukiism is not the same without her droning! I think #1 is closest, but whoever gets picked better work on getting rid of any sign of expression!

I can't see #1 as Itsuki...but since it's a well known VA he'll probably get it.
I was deciding between #2 and #3. #2 sounded more laid back/surfer-ish. I could imagine Itsuki as that one...the long(er) hair would help out too.

looks like I went against the grain this time.

Crispan Freeman sounds better in this one! Though is it just me or is #5 the one in the promo video?

This one should be a bit easier. Too bad they couldn't get Chris Patton in LA; he would have been PERFECT!

Definetely #2 for me this time, the others seem really strange. #2 has a good mixture of peace, boredom and ready for sarcasm/irony, IMO.
