Alright guys I have all entries. I would like audio and video information so if you submitted something, please get that to me. I can get most of your guys' video sourced ided with few issues but no clue in terms of audio. If you get that to me I can also confirm that I definitely have your entry and that everything is functioning as it should.
also I think going through the entire thing I want to really emphasize video quality. This project is going to be put on a big screen, so that means every little imperfection is going to be quite glaringly obvious. This isn't every entry but there are a few where this is a concern. Once I get contact information I plan on contacting those with this and see if there is the possibility of getting a cleaner version. If you have any questions on things such as cleaning up footage, ripping dvd's or deinterlacing, please ask. I want everything to reflect the best efforts of those entering. Also having the ftp as an option means that you are not restricted on your file size. For short clips usually this wouldn't be a problem but i know yousend it has some restrictions on how large of a file can be sent.
If you have any questions on formats, I highly recommend looking at the file formats for Tekkoshocon's contest http://www.tekkoshocon.com/amvrules.html since I am pretty much going to ask for the same. No really screwy formats yet, but if you are wondering about resolution and any other oddity, that should cover most of it. As I said before if anything is unclear, just ask. I promise to get back to you asap. If you don't hear back from me in a week, bug me again.
Also I am going to set the deadline for submissions to be the same as the AMV contest. This gives me time to encode and get everything put together before the con. Since I am assuming that just about everything is going to come via ftp (if you really want to mail it in, particularly if you also intend on entering the contest you are welcome to but is hardly necessary) This means you guys have until March 9th to upload.
And Darkness, get in touch with me after this next week. I'll be busy for the next few days (taking study break now) but since you have been working on potential closing credits I want to keep in touch with you.

Just to be clear, peeps, the new March 9 deadline is only six days earlier than the original so there oughtn't be issue there.
I'm gonna kinda miss seeing what your twisted imaginations come up with. But then, it's gonna be cool to have a bit more time free for creating clips and being surprised at con time.
It would be nice to have as many of you there as possible to see what you have created. If there is time for questions after the screening, your presence would also be helpful.
I'll be at Katsu if any of you wanna meet up and hang out. I'll be Abel Nightroad with my wife, who will be Sister Noelle. I'll certainly have something in the AMV contest as well.
For now, though...I'm still looking for the thing in Sony Vegas 6.0 which either detects scenes from video or splits clips into scenes. If any of you know what I should be looking for, please let me know. Thanks in advance...

Illia, I'll definitely contact you, but I need your MSN (I don't really like AIM, so I would prefer MSN, but if you don't have it, AIM is fine).
Now, deuceloosely, in Vegas you have that thing, the bars with effects and transitions and all that, there's also a bar there called "Cutter", somewhere between them, if I'm not mistaken, cuz, well, my Vegas is in Russian, so I can't translate it in English right
Anyway, you need to cut your scenes there by yourself, it's not movie maker, that cuts the scenes for you. I also looked for something like that to cut my scenes in Vegas when I first touched it.
Also, if you just want to cut your scenes on the timeline, just press the "S" button on your keyboard when the mouse is on the place you want to cut. I know it's annoying, but eventually you get used to it.
Deuceloosely, you don't know HOW MUCH I WANNA GO TO THE CON! But... *sniff*... unfortunately, I'm VERY far away and I don't think I will ever get enough money to fly to USA... I wish some of you could record it on camera or something and then upload it or send me, so I could see the whole thing. I know I'll be able to watch the TekkoshoCon Edition on the org, but It's also interesting for me to see how things will go on the con... but.. Oh well...

Well, it is a new year and everything so hopefully everyone ate too much and enjoyed themselves the past couple weeks.
To try to get things picking up again I am working on a couple entries myself. One might actually be done tomorrow. Another is going to probably be a few weeks of work in AE if I pull it off.
Dezbo, check your PMs since I need to see about something with your entries.
Darkness, working on pm to you to discuss things as well. I don't use MSN at all so any other contact means is welcome.

Well, I guess it's AIM then...
When I'm back home, I'm gonna contact you and we'll discuss things there.
I'm still working on the ending credits and I also working on a few scientific facts. Hope to finish em soon...
And why it's so quiet over here... I haven't seen any replies scinse last few weeks...

A lot of it has to do with christmas and new year I suspect. A lot of people have almost certainly been doing the circuit of visiting family and all that.
BTW, I have anime/song information from exactly ONE person who entred. Dezbo, you are fine. Everyone else I really kinda want that because it'd be good to be credited properly in the ending as I do not know who did what in every case.
