downloading liscenced anime = very illegal
downloading unliscenced anime = less illegal, but still illegal

yes, if it gets you anime episodes [online] for free it is against the rules

watching anime episodes on youtube = illegal
(kinda like bringing a video camera intoa movie theatre and screening/selling copies

people actually take the japanese version and turn it into english and i found a website that the people who make some of them put them up on the internet for people to download.
