I doubt that, there's so much good footage in the series surely it's been covered eight ways to last week by now. Hell I barely even touched on all the great footage that series has to offer. You could also do some REALLY good drama vids to it too (which I'm sure there already are some).

Whee_it's_me might I suggest that you re-read what people have actually written when you've calmed down a bit (and don't try to tell me you are calm when you are banging your head into the key board and SHOUTING!).
You've taken any negative critism from people as hatter haters (whatever the fuck that is) and misinterpreted several others.
No to mention contstantly insulting people all over this site on numerous threads.
To be honnest you come across as an egotist but I understand that sometimes the written word is not sufficient for expressing your point of view and perhaps everyone else is wrong.

I have watched you video and I gotta say I would give it a 3.5/5. I'm not saying I could do any better. But I'm not going to bother telling you what I thought was wrong 'cause you've already made it clear you don't care what others think. Which beggs the question why post this in the announcment forums at all?
You were trying to sync to action not cuts and thats fine but Marrissa's work (besides being fantastic) does sync quite well and I don't think you should be degrading her work here.
btw I don't give a rats ass about your degree and I'd appreciate it if you stopped waving your "qualifications" in everyones faces esp considering some of those your doing it to are "elite" and you, quite frankly, are not. I have no Idea how old you are or think you are but constantly belittling people and their maturity level (either physical or mental) is not an endearing quality. I believe several people on this thread are probably older than you and the whole "I'm older than you narynar nar" routine wore thin in primary school and you've been doing it a bit on several threads recently.
Sry if this offends you but since you have no qualms flaming others I don't feel like being so tactful.

The only ones I pointed out as Hatter Addicts and such are the ones who are OBVIOUSLY just trying to start shit (by straight out lying).

I didn't mention my degree in order to brag, I mentioned it as the reason as to why I'm not interested in any kind of critique. If you want to give a critique you can go right on ahead and make yerself happy, but uh, I probably won't even bother reading it, which is why I'm saying you might just as well not bother.

See the thing is...I like my video...and any flaws that it does have, well they're almost entirely subjective, so any "critique" you give is pretty much gonna be a, 'Well, if *I* had made the video *I* would have done it *this* way...' Which is great, but uh...*you* didn't make it, *I* did, so *I* made the way that *I* want to.

See, this is where you loose IMHO. No, I'm not a video guy but I've been doing audio for a number of years. The most important lesson I ever learned is that you loose once you quit looking to others for criticism and ideas. It gives your personality the aura that you know all there is to know. Unfortunately no one does and I pity you for not being able to accept any critique.

Even someone with the greenest of abilities has something to offer. There's nothing more important than being able to see things through another pair of eyes. Sure, it matters very much that you enjoy your own work. It's rare that someone else will enjoy something if the creator doesn't enjoy their own work. You are completely missing the other side of the fence and I find that sad. I think you really don't understand the very degree you have if you can't find the value in another persons view.

I never quit studying or researching. A lot of that research comes from the valued opinions of others. I'm always glad to hear what people have to say. When you stop learning you might as well give up on life.

You know, action syncing is not something only a [shout]professional editor[/useless shouting] is able to pull off? I can remember seeing an actionsync amv made with tapedecks.
Also to beat or to action sync is an artistic decision.

From watching your video I got the feeling you tied yourself so much up in aiming for action sync that you completely ignored the movement of the song. You missed several changes in your song that would have been far more effective in conceiving syncage, then fiddling the speed of plenty of scenes.

Also I took time too read through some of your posting history. Nice double standards you are applying.

Um, I accept critiques all the time...from professionals...in professional oriented boards, newsgroups and forums. This however is NOT a professional oriented board. It should also be noted that I've already gotten SEVERAL professional level critiques of the video and the general consensus was that it was technically well done and given the intended audience it was a good mix. Aside from that there were a few subjective critiques, which, don't really matter since I make stuff for me using *MY* own style, not other peoples. The only other real non subjective critique was that I could have done more character profiling, but again, even that's pretty subjective. If *I* had wanted to do more character profiling *I* would have (and probably would have if my audience was non-anime familiar peeps).

It's true that most people judge themselves by the way that others judge them and that's why they constantly seek affirmation and acceptance through others...but uh...that's a deficiency that doesn't affect me. Well my views aren't affected in any way by the views of others (ie I'm not a trend following sheeple) so I think maybe you're just kind of scared by the way I think. See most people are dependant upon seeking validation of themselves through others, but your God, what if ALL the others suddenly stopped caring?! How WOULD you seek that validation? ^_^
