It's not nearly as much as you think. Consider this, last year I made it all the way to the final vote in Most Helpful. The only way that could have happened is if the people voting are largely from the forums, IRC, or the journals. On a similar note, Vlad mentioned someone cheating. Obviously I don't know the details but I'm willing to bet it was a fairly small number of dupes and that small number affected voting enough to actually be noticeable. The final vote I can believe has lots of people who aren't vocal members of the community voting but circumstantial evidence shows the early stages are circlejerking among those of us who know each other.Scintilla wrote:Please. Not that I'm complaining, earlier today I voted for Developers for every category it is in, but just pointing out the active communities of the org have a large role in the early stages of the VCAs.
