Toonami has lost whatever shred of dignity it once had...
2002-04-15 14:36:53
Tell me, did you watch Toonami today? Well I did, and boy, was there a nasty little surprise there waiting for me.
Tenchi has been replaced with Thunder Cats... THUNDER CATS! OF ALL THE STUPID ASS THINGS THEY COULD HAVE DONE! Grr, they’ve done some stupid stuff, but this, this really has my feathers ruffled.
People, even if you don't watch Toonami or don't like Tenchi, we've got to stop this. I beg you; on cartoonnetwork.com there is a feedback form. Tell them that this is unacceptable.
Please, help me fight the system; I can't do it by myself...
Thanks.

Well, I didn't do much of anything today. No reason to post something here but I a anyway. Now I just have to think of what to type.
Mmm...
I know, my father moved back in with us, that should make are financial situation a little easier since we won't have two households to support. Lisa, my roommate’s girlfriend, went back home today thank goodness. Today is Monday, and that fact is strangely comforting. Everyone will be going back to school and work and such, and I'll be back to my relatively solitary lifestyle, just the way I like it.
Did you see that freaking huge forum thread about site censorship? Good god that was immature. It had some relevancy in till Phade posted, and after that people just wouldn't let it go. It was insane.
Um, I have two roast beef sandwiches for dinner and um... I played F-Zero X (stop while your only a little behind Sean) and lets see, what else did I do... Came the closest I have ever been to crashing the car, took a corner about twenty five or thirty miles and hour faster then the little sign said I should... I down loaded the normal versions of Smooth Criminal for research for my Ryoko video (come on Sean stop typing) and I've been listening to them for like a hour now over and over again, witch probably is not to healthy for my already waning sanity...
Ok, I'll give into the little voice in my head and stop. Well in till next time.
Peace.

The secret journal entry that reveals the hidden passage behind zee bookcase...
2002-04-14 01:04:56
Hmm, I've been signed up with AMV.org since April first (that could be a bad omen in and of itself) and I've had eighty-three or so hits on my journal. I wonder if that’s normal?
Well, it could be I'm writing in this thing like it’s a real journal, maybe I should put "Dear Diary" at the beginning of each entry... Nah...
Heh, maybe people are just interested in my personal life? Suppose its possible, it dose seem like everyone is writing in there journals about there latest AMV, or there computer, of software, or something relevant to AMV's in any case.
Well here’s my little piece of creative pie then (AKA what videos I'll make when I have the recourses to do so). I'm planning a comedy vid to the song "Kill the Wabbit", and I'll cut it so it looks like all manor of persons are shooting at Ryo-Ohki and Ken-Ohki, maybe have someone lip sync and times, a very inappropriate character, like Vegeta or Spike, or a Gundam, I'd have to get tricky to do that.
I'm going to do a few character profile type vids as well, one of witch I'm gonna do to Gorillaz "Clint Eastwood". The vid is for Calimon, for those of you who don't watch Digimon (shame on you... Just kidding) Calimon is a little guy who doesn’t like to fight, a quote from the show describes him to a tee, "Calimon is about as tough as butterscotch pudding". He likes cream puffs too. Anyway to the point he has the "light" witch allows Digimon to Digivolve. Back in the day, Azulongmon, one of the four protectors of the Digital World, fearing the power witch Digivolution could bring hid the "light" it the form of a Digimon, and boom, we have Calimon. Anyway since its him who allows the other Digimon to beef up I though the vid and song would go well with my overall concept. You see, the song is about a demon, or some kind of sprit possessing the bands drummer and he busts some rhymes and stuff. Calimon sort of possesses the Digimon, beefing them up into big nasty dudes. You see where I'm going with this? Anyone who has seen the show and heard the song should know what I'm talking about.
Ahem, moving on, I want to a Tenchi Muyo vid to "Smooth Criminal", and you know what that means, Ryoko! Well, unfortunately despite the fact that she is the most wanted space pirate in the known universe there isn't all that much footage of her doing criminal activities, but I think there’s enough, and I have a back up plan. If the song is to long I'll change it to Judas Priest's "Breakin' the Law" since only haff as long.
While were on the subject of Tenchi, I'm gonna do a vid for Sasami, but as of yet I'm not sure how. I have the song, and it’s about five minutes long, but I think I have a plan. Anyone who's seen Tenchi Muyo knows that Sasami has an evil side, ok its not evil per-say, but she pulls a few pranks on the various members of the Masaki household, and gets an awful lot of enjoyment out of it. Not the sweet little girl you though she was eh? The song I'm gonna use is Metallica's "Devil's Dance". I think what I'll do is make it seem like someone is singing the song to her at first, trying to bring her over to the "darkside". For the first haff it'll be her running away from this person and trying to be the sweet little princess she's supposed to be. Then, we change gears slightly; she stops running, but still doesn’t seem to "Give in". Then, she starts pulling pranks, what I'll do is edit so it looks like she doing more then the two or so pranks she pulls in Tenchi Muyo. And finally at the end, well there has to be some footage of her taking someone’s hand, and it not showing who it is. Have that at the very end. I think it could be a pretty good vid assuming I can pull it off the way I see it in my head.
Ok, back to Digimon. If you read my last entry then you'll remember me talking about Jerry, the little girl who seems to be having a rough week. Well from the end of the last episode I saw she doesn’t have a real happy home life. And if there is enough footage of that then I'll do a vid to Blink 182's song "Stay together for the kids". The second set of lyrics seems to be from an outsider’s perspective, so that should make it easier.
I'm going to do a mix of amines for Skillet's "Alien Youth" but hmm, someone’s probably done that one already, its kind of a no brainier, I'll look into that. Anyway I don't think this one requires much explanation.
I want to do one to The Offspring's "Why don't you get a job" but again, kind of a no brainier.
Here’s one anyone who is a bit tired of Linkin Ball will like. Its a spoof of DBZ, its not to a song. Well I'll explain. My friend, the one living with us downloaded a bunch of Invader Zim stuff off Audio Galaxy, and one thing he got was Zim (or someone who sounds very much like him) doing a narrative for "the next episode of Dragonball Z", its a bit silly as you can imagine. I'm gonna do the whole thing in still shots, so that should be interesting. If nothing else it should get a smile out of people just because his Freeza voice sounds more like Cartman then an evil tyrant.
The next one on the list is to King Harvest's "Dancin' in the Moonlight". It’s the total happy Prozac song, so I was going to take all the nice, happy moments that leave you with a fuzzy feeling in your heart from Tenchi and Evangelion. I know Eva isn't the happiest show on the air, but it has its moments.
Well, I've most likely thought up more vids then that, but I can't quite recall them. ~sigh~ Now I just need to start getting some DVD's and a better video program. Windows Movie Maker just isn't cutting it after seeing some of the videos made with Premiere, but Premiere looks kinda… Spooky.
Well WMM isn’t to bad, if a little impractical, from what I’ve heard its better then the ol’ two VCR method. Well who knows, maybe by the time I’ve got the cash to be buying my own computer and such they’ll have patched the hell out of it. Somehow spending six hundred bucks on a program that is that, um, temperamental, just doesn’t appeal to me, yah know?
Well it also sounds hard to learn, but hell I figured out the StarCraft Campaign Editor, their two very different programs, but they seem to sort of be on the same level in there respective fields. Course the Campaign Editor is free, but you have to track down all the weird patches to get it to do what you want, but those are free too ^_^ To bad they don’t work with Windows XP…
…
…
…
… Momentie, they say that all the time on Digimon, and I have no idea what it means, can’t believe I missed that episode. But I think it fits the situation non-the less (remember kids, my family = metal illnesses)
Perhaps “Se la vee” is a little better, at least I know what that one means, “Such is life”
Se la vee…
Momentie…
Peace…
Clue: if you have played Final Fantasy III then remember this? “The world is square” solve this the same way…

To many gawd dammed people... Faith in humanity lost, and restored, all in one afternoon.
2002-04-13 11:49:11
Mmm... Ok, so I didn't loose my faith in humanity in one afternoon, it’s been on the downhill for a while now. Time to put on some tunes... Ahh, much better.
Now that I have a little background music (join the fun kiddies!) I can type all this out a little easier. Well, the other day, a few friends and me were playing tag... Why the playground game for big mature teenagers like us? Well playing on dirt bikes ups the ante a little I think ^_^. Anyway my friend’s clipped are neighbors property, so the next day I went over and apologized for it.
Are neighbor, Jim, is an elderly fellow, mid sixties I'm guessing. Well we chatted a few minutes; he thought the whole situation was kinda funny. And just having a nice, friendly talk with a neighbor, well it sort of restored my faith in humanity, at least for this week.
Later, on the way to the gym I was chattin’ with my mom, and we were talking about this. She pointed out something very intriguing. There are lots of cool, sane people in this world, but they aren't doing dumbass things and making themselves stand out, so you never see them
I was able to watch Digimon today, so I'm feeling pretty good at the moment, now if I can get some people to do a little work around here maybe I can stop being so depressed all the time.
You know, 2002 has thus far been a weird year for me…
My parents have spilt up.
My emotionally unstable friend who grates on almost everyone’s nerves has moved in with us. I'll be moving out of the town, hell, off the land I've grown up on, and after we had basically are dream home built here.
My happy, peaceful life is crashing down around my ears.
One group of my friends seems to be at war with the other group, or more specifically my friend who moved in with us.
There have been people who I don't know very well, and don't want to know in and out of my house for the better part of two months.
Its starting to seem like are three-wheeler is public property since everyone who comes over wants to go for a ride, I swear I think every kid in a three mile radius will just stop by "Hey Sean can I barrow your helmet?"
My family is in a bad financial situation, and a weird legal one since my mother is not my friend’s legal guardian.
My other friend, the one who seems to be in mortal combat with my roomie is dating a girl who is four years his junior, and he's eighteen.
My thirteen-year-old brother skipped town the other day, granted he'll be back some time today, but still, I can't help but think of the rat fleeing the sinking ship.
Amanda, the fourteen year old I mentioned above, is constantly over at my friends place, and his mother is always getting her to drink, and we aren’t talking milk here folks.
My dirt bike is broken.
Since I upgraded to Windows XP haff my computer games don't work.
The Boys & Girls Club in town is one of the biggest cesspools in town, why the cops (ironically the towns police station is right across the street) haven't done a drug bust on the place yet is beyond me.
It looks like it’s going to rain; yet this area is classified as a desert.
And I could probably go on and on like this for hours, but I'll wrap it up with one last one.
My friend (the one living with me) was forced to break up with his girlfriend a few days ago, yet, she is here, and has been for the last two nights, and she brought food with her, like she's planning on staying for a while (you know there in it for the long haul if they've got olives, those things will last forever.)
Ok, one more, then I swear I’m done.
This town, La Pine Oregon, has got to be in the top ten of the most f*cking weird places to live in the world.
So in closing, I'd just like to say this. I still have my anime. And I think anyone who is also going though a weird time in their life should tune into Digimon Saturday mornings on Fox. Why? Well you most likely think it’s a silly show for kids, but if you give it a chance you’ll probably, the third session (the one there showing now) has been really good so far. It’s got more of a plot then you'd think, and they even throw in a twist or two along the way. Like today for instance, Jerry, one of the main characters in the show, well at the beginning of the series she was a very chipper young girl, with a hand puppet no less. Well she got a Digimon partner later, Leomon. Later still, during and fight with Bealzamon, formerly the tiny Impmon, who was sort of there friend in till he was so crazed with wanting to be the most powerful Digimon in existence that he made a pact with "the devil", well not really, but close enough. Anyway he became the super powerful Bealzamon, and he killed Leomon. Jerry fell into a depression that, as of yet has not lifted. In fact two or so episodes ago she went into an almost completely catatonic state, though I'm pretty sure its because she has been possessed by her hand puppet.
Even Evangelion wasn’t twisted enough to have evil possessed hand puppets! (Ok, that was a bit silly.)
Anyway it’s a fun show, very enjoyable, in my opinion. So what if its not high drama? And what’s it gonna hurt to tune in eh? So you have to get up a little early on a Saturday. Just sleep in on Sunday, who needs church when you have anime?

Why dose the sun have to rise so earily?
2002-04-06 05:08:53
Bleh, its almost five’ o’clock, and I'm still up. So much for getting back on a normal sleep schedule.
I just finished sending a e-mail to Uncle Milo, letting him know he's not the only one who thinks that you all need to take a chill pill, or get some happy music, or something.
People, now come on, we are artists right? We make AMV's and it’s a form of art. So why do we all act like rabid dogs? Someone brings up DBZ in the forum: DBZ sucks! Anyone who watches it is a stupid head! Blah blah blah, same with Evangelion I've found, and Poke`mon. A newbie brings up some stupid question: RATFAG! Yeah, that’s helpful.
This is what I'm getting at. I'm sure most of you think of yourselves as civilized adults right? Well start acting like it.
I don't expect this to sway anyone’s opinions of others, but lets all be polite about it at least ok?
And on a final note, if someone posts something in the wrong forum, for the love of peat don't be such an ass about it its not like its gonna get it moved.
I wonder if I should even put this one in? Most likely thing that will happen is it'll get ignored, or I'll get nasty e-mails picking apart my opinion and explaining in great detail why you right and I'm wrong, and most likely not being all to nice about it either.
Oh well, such is life.
