JOURNAL: TekkaRepliroid Zero (D(ragon) - Boy)

  • Hard Rock music, pain in the ass 2004-01-07 22:59:04 Sure, the idea is fantastic...
The amount of trouble to assemble it, however, is daunting. Especially when trying to find a balance between sync and coherency.
The amount of sped-up footage I'm using in this is cra~zy.
You know, I'm thinking how different are the songs between what I'm using right here and now and my first vid. Very similar style. Then I remind myself that Miyu the Shinma Slayer wasn't that focused on coherency/continuity as this video, which makes things oh so much more complicated. Even still, using that for a first video may not have been smart, even though I still say that first vid turned out well (I will still say I'm happy with it).
This one is going to be sweet, and a little bit different, albeit nothing completely unheard of (what is?). Should be coming up within a week, maybe two. I love being on holidays, although this is debatably an unhealthy hobby.
;_; But I've been away from it for so long. ¬¬... *scoots*
  • Back to Editing 2004-01-06 12:20:05 After more than a year's absense.

The plan is that this video will be finished before I leave the country later this month. Normally, that would be a tight schedule, but I happen to be on a half-holiday (well, more like 3/4 holiday actually). So that should be realistic... yeah yeah yeah, works in theory, shut up you pescimistic pests :P ^^.

The idea, as always, has been lingering around for a couple of years. And, dun dun dunnnn! I'm making this video on my own beautiful Omecha (<- my comp, BOW AND SAY HI!). The title of the video, which is all that will be revealed at this time, is "I'll Never be the One that She Needs". No, that is not the title of the track (otherwise I wouldn't give it out :P).

I'm working with DVD source for the first time as well here. First exposure to some new programs. They enjoy making this difficult, I've noticed. I've had difficulty wrapping my mind around AVISynth as I'm a visual learner, but I got it to work, I'm barely using any filters in this video though, and I'm already noticing some stuff that they might have fixed. Quality is still awesome though, so no big deal.

I'd like to thank AD and ErMaC for the guides that have held my hand through the editing process so far.

Look forward to uploading this, although some people may find it hard to swallow (but that is intentional).
  • Well whataya know, Linkin Park plus Tekkaman Blade = GOOD 2003-07-01 15:08:35 There's a surprise for you.

    http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?vid_id=17818

This is a video putting Tekkaman Blade to Papercut by Linkin Park.
THIS IS NOT JUST ANOTHER LINKIN PARK VIDEO!
This match is done with an extremely well thought out concept. I'm a walking Tekkaman Blade encyclopedia, I know what I'm talking about when I say that. Though the creator does what I do, and I imagine this is common, that some of the things used will definately be missed by those not most familiar with the series. In anycase, while the editing is in need of some improvement, this video is highly recommended for concept execution.
    Radamu watches everything >=P
  • Score! TokyoDance in my posession again 2003-05-04 00:04:01 Finally got a download of TokyoDance's AMV Silence to Shamanic Princess. Now if only I could get my hands on Chronology Anthologies and Control - Sharon Apple (the latter of which I'm convinced doesn't exist online ;_;).
I loooove having tons of disk space >=D
  • Rare CD FINALLY snagged 2003-05-03 17:20:50 D.J.Panda feat. Aleexa "Dreaming of Fantasy"

I think I found this song randomly on WinMX a couple of years back. Today, the CD has finally fallen into my hands.
This CD was impossible to find in North America, I had to go to EBay Germany to find this puppy.
Hehe, with this track in my hands, I can finally consider the idea for an AMV using this track realistic, and with the remixes I've got (it's a single), I might even use more than one version of the track for completely different videos, I LOVE this track and the remixes ROCK! XD
Oooo, I've got plans =D... got a lot of anime to buy though, blah -.-

If you've never heard this track and like hi-NRG and EuroDance, this is a must hear.

Remember, if you want to have any chance of finding the CD for this track, looking in North America is a deadend. The CD was produced and released in Germany, so looking for it there is the best bet. The CD is an english song BTW.
