Hi there, I'm Danny. I am currently a graduate student at Rutgers University. I'm right now working to get my Masters in Criminal Psychology. I completed my undergrad in Computer Science and Psychology. Though if I find myself a 40 hour job that pays at least $12/hr, goodbye grad school and hello to the real world. I've been an anime fan since 1991. The very first anime that I saw, and subsequently got me hooked, was Fist of the North Star. It wasn't until later that I learned that Voltron and Robotech were also anime.
I've been watching AMV's since 1995, I think the first video I ever saw was a video by Bobby "C-KO" Beaver. It was "Everything She Does is Magic" by the Police done to Kiki's Delivery Service. It was just too cool. Ever since then, I've always wanted to make a music video. but I never had 2 vcr's. Eventually a program called Adobe Premiere came out, and then came powerful computers. Lo and behold, I got my hands on them both and presto, I was able to make music videos.
I should mention that I do video editing for a group called AnimeDog Studios. You might've seen us doing some interviews at East Coast Conventions like Otakon, Katsukon, Shoujocon, AnimeNEXT, and even I-CON.
The very first video I created was "Gundam Bears". I currently have to take it often due to space issues but I will put it back online when I get enough space as well as decent bandwidth.
Anyways, since then I've made some more videos, like "Tango de Hitomi", "Like a Prayer", and "Injected w/a Poison".
The computer I use for making AMV's was built from parts that I bought at a computer show. But this is what I am using: P4 2.0 mHz, 512 DDR RAM, 80 GB hard drive, NVidia 420 128 video card. Everything I am doing nowadays is a direct rip from DVD's.
Current Video Project
My new project is a Pokemon video to a song by Bob Rivers. If you aren't aware, Rivers is a comedian, a screwed up comedian. So that makes him pretty funny. The more screwed up the better. This one will definetely take a while to set up, cuz it's going to really teast my limits, and it will also introduce me to new things of AMV making that I've never done before. Hopefully I'll do a good job, who knows how things will turn out. But that's my new project.
