  • Profile: I haven't been in AMV hobby for long; truthfully, it all begun this spring (2002) when a friend of mine asked in a MUSH (a roleplaying equivalent of IRC, kind of) "Hey, hadn't you seen El-Hazard?" And when I answered "Yes." he pointed me at Doki Doki Productions' website, to their guest AMV 'Jinnai and the Bugrom LIVE!'... and after that, nothing was the same. (Just like things happened with roleplaying games, computers, Monty Python, anime and so on)

I downloaded, I saw, I loved it. The geek version of 'veni, vidi, vici'. And just like Caesar's success, this video prodded me. The tiny voice in my head whispered "Ten years ago, you attended the video editing class, and didn't you LIKE it? Look what THEY have done! Just ... look. And download more!"

So I downloaded more. Doki Doki, Aluminum Studios, ErMac -- basically anything I could reasonably access without installing any P2P software on my computer (security reasons, after all). I downloaded some more. I ...ahem... borrowed some CD-Rs from my boss for the noble purpose of transferring data between my remote workplace and my home (she didn't mind, actually, since this download-burn 'em made possible for her to watch them as well, and she's an anime geekess too).

Then I managed to whine until I got a better computer for myself at work (and since I work at home...); after that it was only a question of time to get enough that mysterious time to start doing something useful with the computer I got, other than coding or database design or such... Ahem.

Well -- download them away, if you like. What I need is not numbers, but critique; I wish to improve my techniques and style, so I prefer recommendations, suggestions, helpful tips and such above numerical scorings.
