A sad, depressing song, the only choice is a sad, depressing anime! Therefore, I submit to you, Grave of the Fireflies. Or Now & Then, Here & There. or a combination of the two, I haven't totally decided. So I'll probably do 3 versions. 2 separate and 1 together and let you all decide which one works the best.

Well, well
Nightowl, there's only two listed on here of this song. And, I have to say, both of them seem like less than useful uses of this song. As long as yours isn't to either of these anime, then everything's fine! I admit, even if you had I'd still do it. I love this song. The fast version is OK but it just doesn't have the same punch as this version.
NEVER stop making AMV's
MorningSon, that is my exact goal. Not just me but anyone who watches these when they're done. I want tears, baby! Tears!

Actaully, I really wouldn't reccomend Mad World for NTHT, especially since the second verse deals with school. I've thought about it and after already making a NTHT vid, it would seem very difficult to use properly. Something I've thought about that I'm not sure anyone else has caught onto, is it to Serial Experiments Lain. I was finally able to catch the series when it played on Tech Tv and lots of the lyrics seem to fit Lain pretty well. Instead of highlighting the wierd technological side of Lain, go for the depressing undertone of the series.

Mad World NTHT
Guyver2019, My thinking is that, in such a case, the part about school is not a building with students, but the school of life. Shu's lesson is in survival.
Tom the Fish.....claymation? Nuh uh, I don't think so.
kthulu, I have heard both versions and I think, really, they are equally good. But the Tears for Fears version is just the wrong pace, for the anime I want to use, anyway.
