First, Arigatomyna, Most of what you said is right, A good number of the videos I get in my free op threads are from newer members, and usually mediocre vids, but alot of them are pretty good too. Ocasionally I even get the one that blows me away from a creator I didn't even know was so good.

One thing I would like to say though, is that another good reason for leaving opinions, especially Detailed ones, is you'll be surprised how much you learn from picking apart others videos, good and bad. the bad teach you what not to do, and the good teach you the right way to do it. You also get alot of fresh ideas that can pop up because of something someone else did in their videos. If your new, Opinionate lots of vids from all spectrums, and pick it apart in detail, and I guarantee you're next video will be a farcry above your normal quality standards in editing.

Being confident is different than being good. Many seem to be in op exchange for no other reason than they want their ego stroked and they'll get pissed off if given anything short of 'You're the greatest ever!'. That's the type of person who keeps repeating their first videos mistakes forever because they refuse to learn anything new. Besides, for the most part the people who actually have reason to be confident have gained some measure of name recognition already, I can only think of a few good videos I found in op exchange that came from someone I hadn't already heard of.

I stand corrected.

I get 1 opinion for every 97 downloads, and one opinion for every 251 hits =/

I do op exchange because it gets more people to see my videos. It's always nice to get an honest opinion even when the person dosent like the video.

Ops also serv as a filter for videos. There are far to many AMVs to go through if you just look at whats for download. Op exchange is a way to interact with other creators. All in all it's fun most of the time.
This has no relevence to the discussion above it
