If music lyrics explain how you feel and you both feel the same.

This brings me back to my being single.

Imagine trying to introduce a girl to something like THRaKaTTaK.
No, that's not sexist talk of 'women don't get weird music'. Try to imagine a look on a person's face when you tell them a piece called 'Mother Hold The Candle Steady While I Shave The Chicken's Lip' - which contains sounds most people would rather not hear - has changed your life. And when you actually mean that...

Oh, woe is me

Damn it I did it again.

Oto, don't worry, you will find someone out there who likes the same kind of music as you, trust me. (although that whole chicken/shavenlip thing is a stretch) I speak from personal experience.......although later I found out she bats for the other team.....................oh god, woe is me too

If I ever find some as eclectic and picky with music as I am; person that isn't afraid to try new things-broaden horizons and acquire knowledge, then I'll be musically set.
..................hmm............where do you live again? j/k

A little off topic but:

Well, I love Dragostea Din Tei. A great song about love and a phone call with people "yodeling".
Not exactly praise worthy to some.
Or Ambient music, most would fall asleep or complain about god knows what if I put this music on.

But it's not

I would actually get along well with people of virtually any music taste, really. There are some exceptions, but these have mostly to do with value systems often (though not neccesarily) associated with certain types of music and less so with the music itself.
All I ask is that they get along with screaming chicken-like sounds

It's further confirmation that I am indeed a social leper.

And it gets boring after like... a lot of years.

But, I, too, am a social leper by indirect choice. That is, me taking far too much time to think - for instance, about said weird music featuring inane sounds and how it affects me - and too little time to attempt any direct social contact.

This is a dimension of 'real music', for me. I would be fooling myself if I said my relationship with music is not affecting my social life and relationships with people.

***

Actually, there is some degree to which 'real music' is possible, but there's way I know of to prove it's existence. That would be the Gurjieffian definition of 'Objective Art' -

Art which can, for instance, shatter rocks or turn water into ice merely by virtue of being artistic to an exceptional degree

Now, you tell me what that means.

But lesser variants of objective art, even if it's on a personal level, do exist and are proveable. Like for instance this art screwing up my head by its' virtue of being artistic
