You know every time I hear The Love is All Around Us by the Troggs makes me think of the episode right after they beat Kagato in the OVAs. If memory serves it was episode six, called "The Night Before the Carnival" but I'm probably mistaken.

For some reason I keep thinking that its called Rain, Escape and Afterwards but that’s a episode of Eva. Or maybe I'm just thinking of Eva and Tenchi at the same time and not realizing it.

Episode 7 is "The Night Before the Carnival".

It's a longer trnasitional episode that was actually released a year after OVA1 in 1993. It kind of bridges the gap between OVA1 and OVA2. "Here Comes Jurai!" (Episode 13) is that way for the gap between OVA2 and the as of yet unreleased OVA3.

Well that explains why those two episodes where an hour long. Actually I guess they'd be around forty-five minutes without commercial interruptions.

Poor Tenchi! He'd be so p-whipped he wouldn't know what to do! With his wives fighting over him and all.

I've watched the three movies. All three continuities and started to read the manga. (waiting for DVD release of Mihoshi Special/Pretty Sammy).

If one goes by the OAV's or Universe its definitely Sasami (they hint at it so often). i.e. Hello Sasami I'm home....... you know watch them, Universe too.

Of course the movies all seem to point towards Ryoko (the first one has Ayeka also with a chance).

The manga is just too ambiguous though perhaps Ayeka and Ryoko.

Of course Washu just might be able to pull something off, and Mihoshi has the dumbest luck in the OAV (both).

Ayeka can accept another's love (maybe it might be grandfather (you know if you've seen it) who might hook up with her.

Washu might just find her husband and child (from so long ago, who knows they could have found a way to live so long too)

Mihoshi will probably get with this new GXP dude (maybe). She also seems unlikely.

Ryoko and Sasami are left.

Ryoko did seem willing to let Tenchi go even though she loves him, and Sasami never has any expectations of him (though its clear her embarrassing senarios with him show a love).

I think Sasami/Tsunami will be Tenchi's bride she is the most level headed and most fitting into Tenchi's family.

Of course this won't happen to at least OAV 7 (one can only hope.

Hey Garylisk...could you clarify soemthing for me? in Tenchi GXP, the principle/director of the GXP school (the black haird one from ep. 4 or 5 the one that interviewed Seina and let him attend the school based upon his decision...not the blond haired one that looks like an older mihoshi) It said something along the lines that she was married to a prince/crown prince of jurai...i took that to mean that she's Yosho's new wife...am i right?

You mean her? I'd say she has Green hair heh.

She's Airi Magama. Here's her deal.

OK in the True Tenchi Novels, we knew that Yosho had fallen in love with her during the time he was in Galactic Academy. They were together for a while, and had a baby together, and named this female child Mizuho. (She's also in GXP on Seto's ship. Mizuho I mean)

However, appearently this is not the whole story. Now that GXP has run on TV, and we've seen Airi in the flesh, and more peopel have talked about her, we also know the following to be true:

At some point, Airi must have discovered Yosho on Earth and went there, because it seems that she and Yosho had yet another child. This child was another female, and they named her Kiyone.

Kiyone is Tenchi's mother. She was pictured in flashbacks in the OVA. Tenchi calls her "Oba-chan", which was translated in the subtitles and in the dub as "grandma" - However, we now know that this woman who was pictures is in fact Tenchi's mom, Kiyone. Since Oba-chan doesn't always have to mean grandma, I imagine that was just a poet name Tenchi called her by.

So in short, that woman, Airi, is Tenchi's grandma.
