Are you generous in your voting/ratings?

Well, most of the banners I vote unworthy, because they almost all look the same. Originell banners are really rare.
My star rating average is 3.47, I mostly give 3 or 4 stars, but I also give only 1 sometimes.
And with the opinions, I mostly give 8 (or sometimes 7) points if the video is okay, but not that great. When I started submitting ops I didn't give lower scores, but since I'm making AMVs on my own I often give lower scores.

Ok I guess a lot of people will think of me as an asshole after this, but still I want to give my honset opinion. Usually to me all the banners are unworthy, especially if they are something like : join us, leave an op, dream ... or just some pictures of cute girls that have no expression. I vote banners worthy if they have an original idea. For example the : put those arms to better work, make an AMv.-banner. Furthermore I don'T like banners showing most used anime-stuff.

these get rejected for the most part... I've noticed lately no matter how original it might be... Opinion banners or any banner with the word "opinion" in it gets rejected and the letter reads "doesnt represent the .org" my friends have complained to me about this one too...

So, you dont have to worry on that one anymore I guess...

Oh yes. I am not particularly harsh. Although I may be harsher if a video uses overdone music or anime. Or if I do not like either one- but I still gave a good rating to the Lain video I reviewed.

You guys are making me want to go vote on banners! Anyway I usually score based on a few things. I usually download videos that have anime I like that way I know I'll already kind of like it and I'll listen to any song once. I look at footage quality, action sync, scene selection, and just generally if I liked it. I think the star rating is ok as long as everyone is honest about them and doesn't give a 2 to a 4 video just because they are lazy. But since a video I deem a 4 might be a 2 to someone else, then there isn't anything you can do. The star rating is like everything else in this forum. It's all a matter of opinion and being honest.

Then don't go to sleep. XD j/k If a banner can make me laugh out loud, then I like it. I'm also one of those people who do like really cute sugar coated banners. But anything that makes me think or says I should leave an opinion should stop being made. I loved one that said, "Don't judge an anime by it's manga" or a manga by it's anime I don't remember. That was good.
