English Dubbed Naruto

I can't stand the english voices for naruto. I have never seen the japanese version, but I will gladly watch that with the subtitles before I watch the english version. Another thing is that naruto has got a lot of violence in it, I mean CN can't edit out all the blood otherwise sometimes you wouldn't understand what happened unless you've read the manga or something.

Perfect explanation. While everyone seemed to be pissed at all the voices for some reason at the beginning, I noticed that Naruto was really the only one that sounded a little too off. Like you said, I'm ok with it now

Personally, I like the dub. I think they did a good job with it. Most anime fans freak out if one stupid little word is mispronounced or one little thing got edited out. Guess what y'all. IT HAPPENS. Ya think they'd show the part where Kakashi plows through Haku's chest here in the states? Nope. Not a chance. Sure, I can understand SOME frustration that happens in the dubbed Naruto but sometimes people who haven't even seent it yuet jump on the bandwagon and go about saying it sucks, therefore, closing their minds to actually giving it a chance. And if you don't like the dub, guess what, whiners. Sometime between March and April, Viz Media is going to start releasing uncut versions of the show. Yes, THIS March. And if you don't want to see uncut, dubbed Naruto (which is the pinnacle of closemindedness), stick with the subs. Sure it's directed to children in Japan. But last time I checked
1.We live in America and
2. As Dylan's forcelance said, japanese kids are much more mature than American children.
So, there's my opinion.

No that's not me. When Naruto gets serious in the Japanese version.. it's convincing that others in the anime would take him serious or even the viewer.. he sounds like a whinny kid no matter what is going on in the english version.

I will just say that I can deal with all the editing and such, but the voice actors just cant sell it. Naruto's voice dosnt have a real range of emotions. None of the actors show a real of emotion. I feel sorry for all the kids that are still serious about it when season 5 comes around.

You have the right to think that, but I think you are a dumbass who needs to learn how to READ!!!! Did I say the Original Japanese version wasn't meant for young japanese children? NOOO! Dumbass, I said that the DUB, meaning the english translation, was not meant for japanese children. It was DUBBED to be for AMERICAN children. In otherwords, to be shown to a less mature audience. Maybe you should pull your head out of your ass before saying stupid shit.

It was censored for American children.

Wow... it took me reading that several times to actually get the pointlessness of what you were saying there. I had assumed one could wrap their head around the concept that "same target audience" refered to age range not ethnicity. They're obviously not the same people, what the hell are you tring to say?

That's like having someone ask how you liked your meal and you replying that you're "very awake and somewhat thirsty." It's completely tangent to the point.

Just stop complaining about the english dub.

Probably in Japan, they watch american cartoons subbed in japanese and complain about the japanese voices.

To me It's ok but I can't complain personally I like Naurto dubbed or not you sorta just used to the fact that they change the story line around to censor it for us
