Let me know what you find.ReligionX wrote:Of course! I don't know why I didn't try taking a picture of me rubbing a balloon on my head and trying to suspend face masks with my statically charged hair! Sorry! I'll have to look this up too, it seems.Melanchthon wrote:You could also have a static image and three or four animated masks that never touch each other.
So do the people who make their vids in ten minutes and upload it to the tube. It's just a way of saying to not tell me to, "find (certain) hardware and find (certain) software." I know enough to actually make a video. Place clip, cut clip, move cilp, render clips, and so on.Melanchthon wrote:1. What do you consider 'the basics'?

Sorry for the confusion, its sort of common knowlege with a lot o the forum regulars. I'm a school teacher, and one of the classroom projects that I do is making AMVs in class. I also have a 'video club' that watches anime during breaks and activity days in addition to making AMVs.ReligionX wrote:Some of your guys?madbunny wrote:Some of my guys
For a cutout character, or graphic replacing a billboard in a video
I have little to no idea what you are talking about mattes, but I'll look that up.
As for mattes: Here. If you look closely you'll notice part of the picture is not from the original show. There are probably close to 7 or 8 ways you could do this exact same thing. Which, is pretty much what everybody has been saying. Try out a few ideas and stick with what works for you.

This is from my video, although it's not that great. If you want to see well done examples check out Vlad G. Pohnert for his stuff.
here is his 'example' video

Woah. What? Where? Thank you. Thank you so much. I didn't know that people like you existed. I've changed my mind about the world. I'm going to have children now, and we're re-districting to your school.madbunny wrote:Sorry for the confusion, its sort of common knowlege with a lot o the forum regulars. Well, I started because the more AMVs I watched the more ideas I had. I'd find an AMV that sold me on an anime or music artist, and I wanted to share the things I loved as well.ReligionX wrote:Let me ask you--how did you start making AMVs, and how do you find is the easiest way for you to make AMVs?
Sakura-con was coming up, a con actually in my area & I figured 'heck, this is as good a time as any to give it a try'. I had some editor I had gotten for home videos (that I never got around to using

My style of editing is I'm sure not the fastest or the best.

Didn't bother to read the whole thread. Here's a mad synching technique:

So, what you're telling me... basically... is that I need to develop some sort of rhythm? This could be problematic. I am not rhythmically inclined.Decoy wrote:Didn't bother to read the whole thread. Here's a mad synching technique:

Though, I like what you're thinking.
I actually tried doing that technique a while back, only instead of numbers, I was using about 8 repeat images. I tried using different full color screens. It was extremely distracting, and actually hurt my eyes. I think that using numbers will actually work. The fades--that'll help. BRILLIANT!
You'd think I'd take cue from all of the old countdowns on 8mm films... This very well may be the thing that I've been looking for. Thank you.

It certainly is hypnotic. I've watched it about 20 times.Willen wrote:It's oddly hypnotic.
This is it. Deocy! You've done it! You've won! Don't you understand?! The Chocolate Factory is your's!
This without a doubt is the answer I was looking for. This is solid gold. This is the end of the rainbow.
I might disappear from the forum for a few weeks now. I'm honostly in awe, and I am dumbfounded. I don't know that I'll be able to sleep. I'll be back. Don't think that I think that I've learned everything that I want to know.
Viva la AMV revolucioin!
